Marriages between members of the family:
• Lewis Etherton, grandson of Thomas Etherton through George Washington Etherton married Mary C. Etherton, great-granddaughter of Thomas Etherton through William Carroll Etherton & William C. Etherton Jr. They were first cousins once removed (Mary's father William C Etherton was a first cousin to Lewis Etherton).
• Sarah Ann Etherton, granddaughter of Thomas Etherton through William Carroll Etherton married William Jasper Hagler, grandson of Micajah Etherton through Jane Etherton. They were second cousins.
• Thomas Jefferson Etherton, great-grandson of Thomas Etherton married Mary Elizabeth Hagler, great-granddaughter of Micajah Etherton. They were third cousins (They shared the same great-great-grandfather).
• Daniel Jackson Etherton, great-grandson of Thomas Etherton married Lavinna Elva Lipe, great-granddaughter of Micajah Etherton. They were third cousins (They shared the same great-great-grandfather).

Andrew Jackson Etherton and William Carroll Etherton can be linked besides being brothers - Andrew Jackson Etherton's wife Mary Hagler had a sister Jeannie Hagler who married Lowell Winchester and they had a son Dallas Winchester who married Cordelia May Etherton who was the daughter of Lewis Etherton (see earlier note on this couple!) and Mary C. Etherton who is the daughter of William Carroll Etherton. In other words - Andrew Jackson Etherton's wife's sister's son married his brother's daughter's daughter.
