Migrated to Rutherford, Tennessee, then to Old Brownsville, Illinois, then to a pioneer village on the Big Muddy River west of Murphysboro. He bought wool, cotton, hogs, cattle, and sheep from his suppliers to his village store. He would transport his merchandise to New Orleans, Louisiana for sale. On what would be his last trip in 1842, his cargo was taken by pirates and he and his crew were killed. He left his widow and eight children. (8)
