Harrison Lipe Passed Away at Home Thursday

Harrison Lipe, 510 South 18th street, passed away at his home Thursday evening, March 14, 1940, at 6:15 o'clock. He had been in failing health for the last three years but only seriously ill the last two weeks.

Mr. Lipe was born November 3, 1870, to Peter and Elizabeth Lipe in Pomona township. He was married March 8, 1894, to Josephine Clowers of Rockwood, Tenn., at Murphysboro and engaged in farming, living on the Carter Fruit Farm on Poplar Ridge for twenty-seven years, moving to Murphysboro October, 1923.

Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by three children, Harry Lipe, Mrs. Albert Greathouse, and Mrs. Teddy Lipe, four grand children, Anneta June, Teddy Eugene, Byron Earl, and James Harrison, one brother, Harvey Lipe, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed. The body will remain at the Meyer Funeral Home until some time Saturday.

Interment will be in the Boucher cemetery.
