My name is Elta Eugene Etherton, Eugene. Glenn H Etherton was my father and Homer David Etherton was my Grandfather.
I check your site for genealogy a couple of times a year. I was exited to find a family picture taken of what looks like a reunion of the Etherton's with my Great Grandmother,Miamah Reynolds in the center of the picture. My Grandfather, Homer David Etherton, and Grandmother, Lillian Dooley Etherton, are the young couple on the far left in the picture. My Mother, Juanita Lipe Etherton is still alive. She grew up in Murphysboro and may be able to ID some of the Etherton's in the picture. She informed me that Miamah Reynolds Etherton in her latter years lived with her children, moving around some. I have not shone the picture to her, but she thinks it is on the farm near Etherton Switch, Illinois.
My wife's maiden name is Joyce Gill and we were married March 29, 1969. We are graduates of Illinois State University. I farm a Centennial Farm and she is a Programmer for State Farm Insurance in Bloomington Illinois. No children.
