Source #36: John Reed

I received the following in an e-mail from John 2 January 1999

While looking for information about my great 
grandparents, I found your web page and read the e-mail source from M. 
Palmer. I am somewhat confused at what I found, so maybe someone can help 
clear it up for me. I am the son of Elmer L. Reed, son of Ira M. Reed, who 
was the son of Phillip Walker Reed & Frances (Fannie) Elizabeth Palmer. The 
family tree that I have shows that Frances Palmer is the "daughter" (my 
great grandmother) of Joshua Palmer & Zilla Ann (M. Haltom). I didn't have 
the last name of Zilla before now. Your web page has Frances Palmer as the 
"son" of Joshua Palmer. This is of course not correct. My tree says that 
Frances was born in Owen County, Indiana in Sept. 5, 1849 (not 1850) and 
died in Sullivan County Mo. in July 13, 1922.  I of course am wanting to 
get in touch any of my family that is willing to converse about our family 
history. I have information on the Palmer side of my family going back to 
England to 1633, and branching off to other grandparents back to 1570. My 
11th great grandparents. I found several things on this page that is not 
correct or perhaps all my information is not correct. I believe what I have 
to be right because I have so much of it. However I would really like to 
know as I am still building my family tree. I have pictures of Frances E. 
Palmer as a young, middle age, and older woman.
