This is the view as you arrived to the reunion at the home of Eugene and Nevelle. They had a beautiful home in Sweeny, Texas that they opened up to the family. We all enjoyed going to their house for the 5 years that we did for the Allen Family Reunion!

Of course it wouldn't be Thanksgiving without a big Thanksgiving dinner. We always have just two meals, a big breakfast mid-morning and then a big dinner mid-afternoon. Shown here is Eugene, Billie, Charlene, Gordon, Clarice and MB.

We have nicely decorated tables, you can see the centerpiece and candles. You can see Olaf, Eddie, Debbie, Bob, and Steve enjoying the meal in this picture. It might look like every is busy eating and not talking, and it would be hard to blame them with the great food, but there is plenty to talk about as most of us have not seen each other in a while.

This year we played some outdoor games, here you can see Kent and Bob in the boat race. The race was around the island in the pond in the back yard. The start/finish line was the bridge to the island. The race took lots of skill -- to keep yourself from falling into the water!!!

What would a contest be without some spectators? The smiles on their faces are probably because they are not the ones in the boat making a fool of themselves. You can see Rachel, Jon, Emily, Philip, Clarice, Danna, Charlene, Roxane and Joe Bob.

No reunion would be complete without the evening 'parlor games'. Don't ask me what Nevelle, Rachel, Danna and Charlene are doing, I have no idea. I bet they never thought that this picture would end up on the web either!!!
