Kenneth L. Murray, 91, died at his home in Murphysboro on Thursday, November 30, 2000.
He was born December 30, 1908, in Jackson County, to John and Hattie (Butcher) Murray.
He married Rose Perrigan on July 27, 1929, in Murphysboro. She died March 11, 1980.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Murray of Monmouth, Roy Murray of LaBelle, Florida, and Vern Murray of Murphysboro; three daughters, Viola Carvender of Morton, Ruth Murray-Jones of Junction, and Faye Reeves of Murphysboro; 20 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; a longtime friend and companion, Esther Dailey of Murphysboro; and family friends, Ruth Grammer and John Keller.
Kenneth was preceded in death by two sons, three infant children of the two sons, one daughter, his parents, five brothers, and one sister.
