CHRISTOPHER - Sybel Koenig, 89, of 711 S. Jesse St. died at 6 p.m. Monday, July 17, 1989, in Herrin Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Gilbert Funeral Home, with burial in Mulkeytown Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Mulkeytown Cemetery Association.
Mrs. Koenig was retired from Brown Shoe Co. in Murphysboro.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Mulkeytown.
She was born March 2, 1900, in Murphysboro to August and Louise (Redo) Koenig. She married Bennie Koenig in 1922. He died in 1975.
Survivors include one daughter, Jackie Hampton of Christopher; one sister, Anna Clutts of Murphysboro; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Four brothers and five sisters also preceded her in death.
