Kenneth V. Ellett, age 79 of Pomona and formerly of Grand Tower, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023 in his home.
He was born May 11, 1944 in Grand Tower to Charles “Sugar Babe” and Lucille (Hagler) Ellett.
On December 10, 1965 he married Carolyn Sadler. Together they shared 57 years of making wonderful memories.
Kenneth had worked as a mag melter for many years at Spectrulite Cons ortium, Inc. He was a volunteer fireman with Cahokia Volunteer Fire Department becoming president of the fire department, while he was working.
He loved hunting and fishing. He was a very good cook. He was a “Jokester”, he loved making people laugh and be happy.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Ellett of Pomona; children, C. Yvonne (Marty) Ellett of Pomona and Kenny (Michelle) Ellett of Pomona; grandchildren, Vincent Ellett of Pomona and Alexzandra Ellett of Anna; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Jack Ellett; Rob Roy Ellett; Patricia Ann Ellett-Guier; Alvert Leon Ellett and Denny L. Ellett.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Crain Pleasant Grove-Murdale Funeral Home.
