Robert E. Louton, Sr., age 79 of Hot Springs, died Wednesday, September 28, 2016. He was born on February 15, 1937 in Hot Springs to the late Amzar Jasper Louton and Clara Ethel Robbins Louton. Reared and educated in Hot Springs, he was a horse trainer at Oaklawn Park. He was the widower of the late Clarice Greeno Louton, to whom he was married on October 29, 1965 in Long Beach, California. She preceded him in death in 2011.
His survivors include his children, Robert E. Louton, Jr. and his wife, Deandra, of Malvern, Bruce E. Louton of Hot Springs, Angela Thurman and her husband, Jim, of Malvern, and Kimberly Standard of Hot Springs; a sister, Mary Jo Oliver of Pearcy; a brother, Orville W. Louton of Malvern, nine grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Louton was also preceded in death by a grandson, Randall Lewallen.
Graveside services will be held at three o'clock Saturday afternoon, October 1, 2016 in the Lone Hill Cemetery at Oak Grove under the direction of J. A. Funk Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Dillon Louton, Jonathon Petty, Larkin Petty, Robert Lewallen, Jesse Lewallen, and Steven Thurman.
