Rev. Herbert Henry Etherton, age 75 of Sevierville, died Tuesday, December 30, 2003. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church and had pastored several churches in Sevier County over the years. He owned and operated Etherton Well Drilling for 55 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Dora Etherton; brothers Minor and Jack Etherton; sisters, Ruby Maples, Irene and Josephine Etherton.

Son and daughter-in-law: Larry and Glynis Etherton
Daughters and sons-in-law: Nancy and Darris Clabo, Marie and David Newsome, Debbie and Mike Fabry, Susie and Tony Ownby, all of Sevierville
Grandchildren: Brian Quilliams and wife Kristie, Davey Newsome and wife Sandra, Kiesha and Randy Penny, Samantha Etherton, Mark and Ashley Ownby
Step-grandchildren: Andrea Fabry, Brandon Ramsey
Great-grandchildren: Sarah Quilliams, Zachary Newsome, Taylor Penny
Sisters and brothers-in-law: Inas Smelcer of Sevierville, Geneva Strange of Knoxville, Iva Suttles of Dandridge, Eula and Gene Catlett, and Evelyn and Benton Latham, all of Sevierville
Sister-in-law and husband: Nina and Herbert Howard
Devoted friends: Nick Fessick and Brandy Samuel, and Special Nurse Rita
The family would like to thank Covenant Home Health Care, Sevier County Health Care Center, Dr. Rassak and Sevier Medical Center.
Funeral service 7 PM Wednesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Troy Cody and Rev. Lowell Wilson officiating. Family and friends will meet 10 AM Thursday at Providence Cemetery for interment. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Wednesday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.(www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
