Description:
I received the following from Carol on 28 March 2012:
I am a descendant of James Alexander Etherton, 1845-1906, who married Lucinda Roberts. They, and James' brother William and his wife are buried in Mt Olive Cemetery in Troy Kansas, along with William and Laura Dawson. I have been researching James and his family for several years, and was excited to confirm his father--I hadn't been able to track him down before. I would be happy to share with you updated information about James and his family, if you are interested. I also have other dates for his siblings.
I received the following from Carol on 30 March 2012:
I have attached a register report of George and his descendants to the third generation. I'm sure my details about George and his children are sketchy and still inaccurate in places, but you can be sure of the information about James and his descendants. I would surely appreciate any information you can provide about George and his wife. My dad and his cousin have been very interested my searches. I think I am correct in that James' brother Charles also served in the Civil War in the unit as James? My uncle has in his possession a manuscript James wrote sometime in his old age about watching war come to Parrottsville. My grandmother (Lura Graves Winkler) remembered her grandfather James well, and used to tell me stories about him.
