Shelia Ruth Walker age 61 of Phoenix, AZ, entered into heaven on December 12th, 2013 in Scottsdale, AZ.
Shelia was born on December 26th, 1951 in Centerville, IA to Henry and Ruth Benz. As a young girl, Shelia loved spending time with her brothers Terry, Mark and David. She was amazingly talented at playing the piano, and playing basketball.
She met her childhood love, Darl, and were married in 1970. They were devoted to one another for over 43 years in marriage and were blessed with three sons; Randy, Ryan and Dirk. As their love continued, so did their family. Shelia gained five more boys; Josh, Garrett, Jaxon, Dallas and Hayden, all grandsons to love her. She was admired and respected as a business owner of over twenty years in Scottsdale, AZ.
She is preceded by her parents, Henry and Ruth Benz and leaves behind her three brothers, three sons, five grandsons, a daughter-in-law and so many more who will miss her grace and smile.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Friday, December 20, 2014 at Fairview Church of the Brethren, Unionville, Iowa with Pastor Sharon Heien officiating. Friends may call Thursday with the family present from 6-8 pm at the Lange Funeral Home & Crematory, Centerville, Iowa. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the Sherman Home Hospice of the Valley.
