To all to whom these presents shall come, greetings. Know ye that in consideration of an entry made in the surveyors office of the sixth district of No. 1581 dated the 25th day of January 1817 [?] founded on a certificate of number 86 ??? by the register of East Tennessee to Isaac Thomas ??? for two hundred acres of land dated the 26th day of February 1810 twenty five acres of which are assigned to Samuel Etherton the ??? ??? is granted by the said state of Tennessee ??? the said Samuel Etherton and his heirs a certain tract ??? ??? containing fifteen acres lying in the county of Cocke in said district, beginning at a white oak ...

surveyed August 6th 1814 with its appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract ??? of land with its appurtenances to the said Samuel Etherton and his heirs forever in witness whereof Joseph McMiller governor of the state of Tennessee hath here unto set his hand and caused the great seal of the said state to be affixed at Murfreesborough on the 11th day of may in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty one ond of American Independance the forty fifth.
